Kharoti Global Organization & Afghan Transit Trade Delegation Meets Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
A delegation of Kharoti Global Organization and representatives associated with Afghan Transit Trade, led by Malik Haji Mir Zaman, met with the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi.
The delegation included Founder Riaz Khan Kharoti, Central General Secretary Mehmood Khan Kharoti, Haji Ismatullah Tokhi (President, Traders Union Boot Bazaar), Muallim Wilayat Khan, Malik Abdul Ghaffar Shinwari, and other representatives. Mr. Shakeel Safi, Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, was also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the challenges faced by traders, Pakistan–Afghanistan trade relations, and people-to-people contacts. The delegation emphasized that only a few miscreants are damaging bilateral relations, while the majority of Afghans desire peaceful and friendly relations with Pakistan, which has hosted Afghan refugees for decades.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi stated that he has already raised visa-related issues with the Federal Interior Minister and will continue engaging the federal government to resolve these concerns. He noted that terrorism originating from elements based in Afghanistan has adversely affected security, trade, and business activities, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Governor stressed that neighbors cannot be changed and appreciated the delegation’s efforts to promote goodwill and cooperation. He expressed hope that sincere mutual efforts, with the support of Federal Minister for SAFRON Amir Muqam, would help address and resolve ongoing issues.
The delegation appreciated the positive and supportive role of Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and the Pakistan Peoples Party in addressing public concerns and matters related to trade and economic cooperation.
